It has been a fruitful award season so far in 2014! Our 2009 Geologist won Double Gold Awards at both the Seattle Wine Awards and the San Francisco International Wine Competition, at which our 2010 JTW Reserve received the same honor.
A little closer to home, our Tawny Port was voted Best of Washington at the Northwest Wine Summit and was also awarded a Gold Medal! Not to be outdone, our 2011 Touriga Nacional was given a Gold Medal at the Seattle Wine Awards.
For more than 25 years, we have concentrated on producing small lots of exceptional wines from the best vineyards in Washington State. That will continue to be our goal in the years to come.
Our Thurston Wolfe Wine Club is going strong with two levels of membership, Wolfe Pack 1 and Wolfe Pack 2.
Wolfe Pack 1 includes all our wines, Wolfe Pack 2 is for those wine lovers who prefer only our red wines. Both offer four shipments per year and neither require prepayment, you will only be charged when the wine ships. Both allow for a 25% discount on wines purchased during your membership year and both offer free fast passes into Wine Yakima Valley Events, plus you get free shipping in the month of December (for all those holiday purchases).

Our last day of crush was October 24th with Upland Vineyard's Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon and that was pressed off on November 1st. By in large it was an ideal fall and harvest with moderate temperatures and clear skies, at least until the last week of October. Fruit was fully ripe and all indications are that it will produce wines with great color, wonderful fruit intensity and full body. Some red lots have already completed the malo-lactic fermentation. The rose' and whites have nearly completed their fermentations and will be heading to bottle early in 2015.
