August 21st Wade is being honored at the 23rd annual Auction of Washington wines. This auction celebrates Washington wine and benefits the uncompensated care program at the Seattle Children's and the Washington Wine Education Foundation. This a great honor for Wade and Thurston Wolfe Winery.

Vote No on Initiative 1100 to protect small wineries! There are actually two parts to this initiative: privatizing hard liquor sales and removing all state regulations on the sale and distribution of alcohol beverages. Although this sounds great for the consumer, it is potentially very bad for wineries. Currently we are provided many protections through existing regulations, such as freedom from slotting fees in supermarkets and being forced to sell on credit to restuarants. If 1100 passes, we will be forced to negotiate sales terms with each licensee we sell to. Vote No!
